Abstract
In order to escape liabilities and pursue its evil ends, aggressors will always justify the unjustifiable. No infringement of international law will ever be openly admitted by a State despite the fact that it has obviously committed wrongful acts. This
is Russia’s case, i.e., Russia’s attack of Ukraine is a blatant violation of prohibition on “use of force.” Its reliance on the principle of self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter falls short.
